I'm getting an "invalid IP address" or "IP not authorized" error — what does this mean?
For security, every API request must come from a server IP address that's been added to the approved list for the API key being used. If you see this error, your server's IP either hasn't been added yet, or has changed since it was originally added.
How to fix it
- Confirm your server's current outbound IP address.
- Log in to the portal and go to API & Integrations.
- Locate the API key your integration uses and open its IP Range Restriction settings.
- Enter your IP address (or range) and save. You can separate multiple addresses with a comma or semicolon, define a range with a hyphen, or use CIDR notation.
- Try your request again.
Good to Know If you ever change hosting providers or servers, add the new IP before switching your traffic over — approval for a previous IP doesn't automatically transfer to a new one. |
I'm getting a "rate limit exceeded" error — what does this mean?
This means requests are being sent more quickly than your account is currently able to process. If you're working with a large number of records, we recommend submitting them as a batch file rather than sending many individual real-time requests in a row — this is both faster and avoids this error entirely.
If you continue to see this error while using batch submission, please contact Zuvo Support with details about your integration so we can take a closer look at your account's configuration.
