Zuvo offers two actions for Zapier: ZUVO Protect, which handles email address processing, and Lead Hygiene, which handles syntax cleansing for names, postal addresses, phone numbers, and email threat hygiene.
Creating a New Zap
Integrate Zuvo with Zapier by linking your Zuvo and Zapier accounts. This lets you cleanse email addresses and maintain mailing lists with only valid, deliverable addresses. On the Zapier integration page, you'll find templates for CRMs, form builders, and more to help you build your Zap.
In the Create a New Zap workspace, name your Zap for easy identification — for example, "ZUVO Protect."
Setting Up a Trigger
Every Zap needs a trigger event. This example uses Zapier's built-in Webhooks tool as the trigger for a ZUVO Protect action.
- Click the "1. Trigger" workflow box to open the application search modal.
- Type Webhooks into the search bar and select Webhooks by Zapier.
- In the Event dropdown, choose Catch Hook, then click Continue.
- Leave the "Pick off a Child Key" field empty and click Continue.
- Copy the generated webhook URL, open it in a new browser tab, and append
?email=user@company.comto the end. - Back in Zapier, click Test Trigger, select the record showing the email you added, and click Continue with selected record.
Good to Know
The trigger shown here is for demonstration only. Customize it to match your own application's requirements — Zuvo can be part of a larger, multi-step Zap alongside other actions.
Connecting Your Zuvo Account
- Click the "2. Action" workflow box to open the application search modal.
- Type Zuvo into the search bar and select Zuvo from the list.
- From the Event dropdown, choose Hygiene Email (to process a single email address) or Hygiene Lead (to process a single set of PII), then click Continue.
- Under Account, select Choose an Account, then + Connect a New Account.
- Log in to your Zuvo account in the pop-up authorization window, then click Continue.
Configuring the Action
Enter the filter profile you want applied for ZUVO Protect into the "Desired Profile" field. Then click into the "Email" field and choose "Querystring Email" — this corresponds to the email address you added to the Zapier Webhook URL earlier. Click Continue.
Good to Know
Account filter profiles can be found on the ZUVO Protect upload page in your Zuvo account, under "Available Profiles."
In the Test section, verify the displayed email and profile fields match what you expect, then click Test step. Once you see a green checkmark, click Publish to activate your Zap.
You're All Done!
Whenever your specified trigger event happens, your Zap will forward the collected email address to ZUVO Protect, and the processed result will be delivered back to your Zap Action object.
