What does the Corrected_Do_Not_Mail column mean in my results?
During processing, ZUVO Protect checks for email addresses that look like they contain a typo — for example, a misspelled domain like "gmial.com" instead of "gmail.com." When one is found:
- The original, suspected-typo address is placed in the Corrected_Do_Not_Mail column.
- ZUVO Protect builds a corrected version of the address.
- That corrected address is run through Hygiene and Verification screening, and its result is what appears as the record's main result.
Which address should I actually use?
Use the corrected address in your main Email column for sending. Don't mail to the address listed in Corrected_Do_Not_Mail — that column exists to show you what the original, likely-mistyped address was, not to be used for sending.
Good to Know This is the same underlying mechanism behind the "corrected" field you'll see in ZUVO Protect API responses — it only appears when a correction was actually made to the submitted address. |
